1.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by a secure third-party payment processor. We do not store your complete credit card numbers on our servers. We only receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing address.

  • Process and transcode your video uploads
  • Generate transcriptions using AI-powered speech recognition
  • Create AI-powered summaries and smart chapters for your videos

  • Improve our products and develop new features
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

4. AI and Machine Learning

Dictatio uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide features such as:

  • Transcription: Automatic conversion of speech to text
  • Semantic Search: Intelligent search across your video content
  • Smart Chapters: AI analysis identifies topic boundaries and key moments
  • Summaries: AI-generated summaries help you quickly understand video content

Your content is processed solely to provide the requested features. We do not use your content to train machine learning models for other customers or third parties.

  • Videos and files are stored with encryption at rest

  • Regular security audits and monitoring
  • Secure authentication via trusted identity providers

The Company implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect user-uploaded data in accordance with industry-standard security practices and applicable compliance frameworks, including SOC 2. However, the Company does not assume responsibility for the nature or content of data uploaded by users.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. When you delete your account:

  • Your videos and files are permanently deleted from our storage
  • Your account information is removed from our databases
  • Transcripts and AI-generated content are deleted
  • This process is typically completed within 30 days

Some information may be retained for longer periods if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
